Jessica L Bell
Jessica studied Medical Microbiology and Human Genetics for her B.Sc. (Advanced Life Sciences) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. She also completed her Honours in Immunology at UNSW. Then after gaining experience as a research assistant in retinoid signalling research, she completed her PhD at the Children's Cancer Institute Australia and UNSW. For her PhD she studied a novel protein called TRIM16 and its role in cancer growth and development, in a children's nerve cancer called neuroblastoma, at The Children's Cancer Institute Australia.
Currently, Jessica is undertaking her post-doctoral studies on the IGF2BP family and there RNA-binding activities. She also uses next generation sequencing of RNAs to understand miRNA involvement in neuroblastoma.
